Why I started Alice In Pierce Land

A bit about me

In previous years, I was a medical student. As a medical student, anatomy was one of the main subjects we needed to understand. This previous knowledge has given me an advantage in piercing. In particular, the correct piercing placement and suitability. My experience has also provided me with the correct clinical standards and techniques around hand hygiene, the disposal of substances, and cross contamination. Due to my years of medical studies, I feel confident in my new journey within the piercing sector.

My new journey in piercing is early but I'm confident with my prior knowledge of everything I've been taught in university and hospital settings.

Every great adventure begins with a spark of inspiration, and for me, that spark was a deep passion for body piercing, self-expression and creativity. Alice in Pierce Land isn’t just a piercing studio - it’s a world where individuality is celebrated and every client is given the chance to embrace their unique style. This is the story of how it all began.

A Passion for Piercing

From a young age, I was fascinated by the world of body modification. I saw piercings as more than just adornments; they were statements of personality, confidence, and transformation. The journey into this industry wasn’t just about aesthetics—it was about empowerment. I wanted to create a space where people could explore their own identities through high-quality piercings and jewellery.

The Alice in Wonderland Connection

The name Alice in Pierce Land was inspired by the whimsical, imaginative world of Alice in Wonderland. Just like Alice's journey through Wonderland, getting a new piercing can be a transformative experience - exciting, mysterious, and full of self-discovery. I wanted my space in the studio to reflect that sense of wonder, offering a welcoming and magical space where clients feel comfortable and excited about their piercing journey.

The Alice part is also a variation of my late mother’s name, Alison, who inspired me to always follow my dreams no matter how big or small. Her personality was big, bright and wonderous. She loved adventure and excitement, so I knew I had to incorporate her wonderful passion for life and live each day to the fullest potential.

When I set out to create Alice in Pierce Land, I knew I wanted to break away from the typical piercing studio experience. My mission was to:

• Offer upgraded, high-quality jewellery that allows clients to express their individuality.

• Create a fun and welcoming atmosphere that makes every client feel special and valued.

Piercings are not just about beauty—they are about confidence and self-expression. Whether it's a first-time piercing or an intricate curated ear design, I wanted to make sure my clients receive both an unforgettable experience and exceptional results.

One of the most rewarding aspects of running Alice in Pierce Land is the incredible community that has formed around it. From first-time clients nervously getting their first piercing to seasoned body mod enthusiasts looking for something unique, I’ve had the pleasure of helping people feel more like themselves through body art.

That’s why I take the time to educate clients on aftercare, jewellery choices, anatomy, and the healing process, ensuring that their piercing journey is smooth and enjoyable.
